- New year in the Lake District staying at Grizedale Hostel. Good food, drink and plenty of
walks to welcome the New Year in.

- Day trip to Hull visiting The Deep and lots of shopping round the quays
February
- Weekend at Sherwood Forest Hostel. Lots of walks in the woods hitting the Robin Hood trails
- Sunday walk in the Peak District. An 11 mile hike with scones at the end.
- Tuesday night is Cinema night, time to see the latest offerings.
March
- Celebrate the Chinese New Year, a little late but any excuse for a big feast.
- St Patricks weekend in Prague. A beautiful city to see, with the added touch of a pint of Guinness
April
- Slide show on the Pyrenees, Namibia and Norway.
- Midweek Cinema trip, taking in the latest offering from the Showroom.
- Sunday walk around Matlock including Kelstedge, Ashover, Fellgate and Tansley, with a pub en-route.
- Weekend at Grangemill staying at the Holly bush Inn. Lots of local walks in and
around Carsington reservoir
May
- Gentle stroll round the Edale valley. Starting at Edale station, to the Youth hostel, Hollins Cross
Rushop Edge, Jacobs ladder and back to Edale.
- Picture show of our latest trip to Prague.
- Tuesday Cinema trip.
- Midweek walk round Totley ending at the Cricketers pub.
- General Knowledge Quiz at the pub, prize for the brains.
- bank Holiday weekend camping at a coastal resort.
June
- Evening walk from Hunters bar up to Ringinlow, then back to Bents Green for a pint at the
Hammer and Pincers.
- First BBQ of the summer in the beer garden at The Rutland
Midweek circular walk taking in the canal and Five Weirs walks, with a pint at the end.
- Saturday night Jazz in the Field at Edale. good music and local beers.
- Sunday stroll along the Snake path from Chinley to Edale.
- Tuesday Cineam night.
- Time to get away from the World Cup with a trip to the Rivelin Valley Hotel for a relaxing drink.
- Weekend at Langsett Youth Hostel. This hostel has been close to the group for many decades,
but as a result of the closures this could be the last chance we get to stay there. A weekend of good food and walks.
- Sing song, Cheese and Wine party with the Norton Players at Coal Aston community hall.
- Sunday walk around Eyam..
- Evening theatre comes to the Botanical Gardens with a perfomnce of The Importance of Being Ernest.
- Real Ale pub crawl round the pubs of Sheffield.
July
- Week walking the second half of Offa's Dyke, 6 days finishing at Prestatyn.
- An evening of chilled out Jazz in the Botanical Gardens
- Tuesday Cinema trip
- Midweek walk along the Loxley valley ending at the Admiral rodney for a well deserved pint.
- Friday walk in Grenoside woods.
- All this hot weather is great excuse for a BBQ at the pub.
August
- Rare opportunity to walk beneath the Derwent Dam and wander through the museum, having a look at how it was built
and the important part it played in the Dambuster raids.
- Tuesday Cinema trip
- Sunday walk circular walk starting in Bakewell.
- Friday night meal at the Kashmir Curry Centre.
- BBQ time again, bound to rain.
- Bank Holiday weekend backpacking in the Yorkshire Dales visiting some of the Hostels
due for closure.
September
- Rail Trip to Bridlington. Day of sea, sand and fish and chips
- Monday evening tour of Renishaw hall followed by a meal
- Friday night Real Ale pub crawl round Shalemoor. sarting at the Cask and Cutler, then
on to the Riverside, Fat Cat, Kelham Island .....
- Monthly trip to the Cinema
- Saturday walk round Hathersage followed by a fest at the Little John.
- Monday night, slides from the recent walk along Ofa's dyke.
- Sunday walk round Baslow.
October
- Saturday walk aroun the hills surrounding Chesterfield followed by a trip on the canal.
- Weekend in Staffordshire staying at the luxurios Butterton Camping Barn
November
- Group AGM
- Weekend in in the Yorkshire Dales staying at Ribblehead. Lots of walks on Inglebrough and Pen-y-gent.
December
- Christmas Party at the pub
- Christmas walk usual 2 mile marathon followed by a big feast at The Bridge Inn at Calver.
- New year in the Lake District staying at Backpackers in Windermere. Good food, drink and plenty of
walks to welcome the New Year in.
